SysArmin The release in this thread contains the full June 5th patch level. You can update to this release by switching to the alpha channel to help with testing so that the release can be moved to stable faster.

phone-company You can switch back to the stable channel at any time. You don't need to reset your device. You must expect Alpha releases to contain bugs, but if you switch to Alpha, and a new release is then installed, you can switch back to the stable channel and you'll receive the next update when that update is pushed to the stable channel. This is a smooth process. All you need to do is switch release channels within the System Updater settings.

That is true. But switching from alpha to stable will not switch the device back to the current stable release of the OS.

And if the reason for wanting to switch back is a bug in the current alpha OS, switching back to the stable channel will probably delay receiving a fix for that bug, because the fix will be released to the alpha channel before it is released to the stable channel.

Your input is appreciated for the rationale behind this change:

change default USB-C port mode to "Charging-only when locked" from "Charging-only when locked, except before first unlock"

The previous default Charging-only when locked, except before first unlock allowed data recovery for a device with a non functioning screen. Maybe warning users via a dialogue that requires user interaction to dismiss (if that is supported) about this change after updating would be a good compromise.

jellybean Didn't actually work that way yet since we haven't fully obsoleted and removed the old USB peripheral setting so there was no point in the current more relaxed value for the setting. A broken touchscreen can be replaced so people who really want their data can get it.
