What password manager integrates well with grapheneos? I have been a huge user of bitwarden on my computers and iOS devices, however I have noticed that it does not seem to integrate well on grapheneos. There's a lot of extra steps with using bitwarden and i'm wondering if something is better.

What "extra steps"? You simply need to enable bitwarden as the password manager in the OS settings, turn autofill on in Bitwarden, and change autofill setting in Vanadium to "other providers". It integrates well and I've had absolutely no problem with it.

I have all of those set. I'm coming from iOS and bitwarden just works much better on there than on here. For example:

if i want to generate a password for a website, i have to go into the bitwarden application to generate it, then copy it, create a new entry and enter the username, website and paste the password. Then I have to close out of the app and paste the password in the website. In iOS I can just hold down on the password field on the website and then click generate and it'll auto generate and ask if you want to save the password in bitwarden, when you do this it auto saves user, pass and website. You don't have to manually enter, its all automatic and super stream lined.

Bitwarden are well aware that their UI/UX is not terribly good and they're actually in the process of redesigning all their apps to make them much more user friendly.

So if you have feedback for them, now would be an excellent time to let them know (see the survey link at the bottom of the page)!

I use Bitwarden with a self-hosted Vaultwarden server, both on Firefox (Linux) and GrapheneOS. I'd say it works better than any other Android password manager you'll see. If you enable every single compatibility option in the auto-fill settings, you can even get it to auto-fill some very stubborn bank apps!
If I want to add a new account, here is what I do:

Click on the Bitwarden auto-fill box that appears under the password field
"+" in the lower right
Enter my username, generate the password
Save, click on it, choose auto-fill
Done

I believe, that on iOS it's the keyboard/OS that generates the password for you, and not Bitwarden, but as I haven't used an iDevice in a few years, I may be wrong.

GGORG Thank you. THe other thing i did that seemed to fix alot of the issues i was having was going into settings--> apps --> bitwarden and enabling "Display Over Other apps"

Seems to allow the bitwarden "popup".
