How to use the web installer method with a MacBook Pro 13 inch mid 2012 version?

I have a MacBook Pro, 13inch mid 2012 version. The most up-to-date operating system available for my computer is the macOS Catalina 10.15.7.

On the graphene OS web installer page, more recent operating systems are listed as those that are officially supported for the web install method (for the Mac). e.g. macOS Monterey (12), macOS Ventura (13) &
macOS Sonoma (14) (None of these are downloadable onto my computer).
Any suggestions or thoughts on how I can get around this and install graphene OS onto my phone via the web installer method? I don't have access to a more up-to-date operating system/ cpmuter.

Can you borrow a suitable Android phone from a friend for a bit?

You can try the installation with the setup you have, but it may not work.

de0u, I can try installing with the set up I have (macOS Catalina 10.15.7.). Is there any possibility that could cause damage to the phone by doing that? Or, will it just be a case of nothing happening if it doesn't work?

It is possible that the device might get stuck in a boot loop. If that happens, hold the power button down for a long time (more than a minute) until it shuts off, then start over using a computer/OS/browser setup that is known to work.

I am unaware of a case where the web installer permanently bricked a device. It is possible to do that via the command-line installation path.
