In the Onwer profile, in settings > privacy > permissions manager > location, for example. I removed any default apps that had this permission (under allowed it has "no apps allowed". under "not allowed" it lists camera, gallery, phone, and vanadium).
In a second user profile I'm trying to setup/play with, in settings > privacy > permissions manager > location, the list of apps is totally different. The "allowed all the time" list is empty ("no apps allowed"). Allowed only while in use shows "settings" and "com.google.android.iwlan" and the options inside each of these are completely greyed out. Also, this area shows more things than it does in the Owner profile. Eg: aren't these things system apps that it is showing? com.google.android.iwlan, and fused location are shown.
I'm still a complete newb to this OS and it's pretty confusing having to set up the settings in multiple user profiles, especially when it appears as though the options (for settings, etc.) appear to be different, and maybe settings/changes made in the owner/main profile affect any other lower level profiles.
I've had this new phone for months now, installed GOS on it, and still haven't moved to actually using it. Haha. Mainly for fear I'll do something (or not do something) that'll end up being less than secure or private and leaking some data or other, and that once it's leaked it can't then be "unleaked" even if I learn the proper settings and stuff in the following months/years.
