Greetings from a newbie! I did manage to install about a week ago on a Pixel 7 I bought (refurb) just to learn how to use and appreciate GrapheneOS. I wanted to restart with a fresh install to use some of what I learned with my first setup and keep my Googly connections in a separate profile. Using the instructions on the Web Installer page, I wiped GOS and re-installed Android 14 to begin fresh.
I've now run into the same problem twice - my re-install (again using Web Installer) stops after apparently completing all of the GOS steps but just before I'm able to re-lock the bootloader. The Flashing factory images stage sits showing "Restarting device". In detail:
Flash release begins well, and as before restarts a few times, and then... writing radio, restarting, writing boot, dtbo vendor_boot, vendor_kernel boot, restarts and then comes to the problem..
A non-bootloader page, but similar, showing "fastbootd" in bold red at the top. It shows Graphene OS fastboot, panther, bootloader version #, baseband version #, secure boot Yes, and HW version MP1.0. Here, my phone will sit indefinitely. There's a menu of choices with "Reboot system now" selected. I've waited here for 10 minutes and nothing happens. Other choices are "Enter recovery", "Reboot to bootloader", or "Power off". Reboot to bootloader looks promising, but that selection doesn't have any effect on the web install page.
I can, and will, revert to A14, but that's just a beginning to get me back to GOS. Has anyone else particularly on a P7 encountered this situation recently? Any ideas or suggestions?
