Verify integrity of images captured with the camera

Is it easy to verify the integrity of the videos (image and sound) and images captured from the graphene Os camera application?
I am experiencing a very complicated situation with a neighbor who has threatened me several times. I would like to be able to capture images if I find myself in a situation of risk to my integrity so that I can have easily verifiable evidence in the report to the police.

There isn't a simple way to prove that your phone, which you completely control, hasn't been tampered with by you.

I suggest you speak with an attorney who is familiar with the evidentiary standards in use locally.

I want to be able to demonstrate that there has been no editing of images or video when I show the evidence, thank you. I just want to know if this is possible

I've only followed the topic in passing - Leica implemented this in one of their camera models a few years ago.

As de0u already stated: There isn't a simple way to prove that the material hasn't been tampered.

That is great info as well. Anything with law-credible attestation is more likely to be a standalone device than an app.

I still recommend speaking with an attorney before taking some action and involving the police.

Reading my post again, I realize that my sentence "You would probably need a camera that provides something like Content Credentials..." could maybe be misinterpreted as me advising the OP to buy such a camera.

I rather wanted to point out that such proof as a pure factual/technical evidence is -as of today- quite difficult to provide and would require special devices (the development of which - even if journalists and industry have recognized the need as a tool against disinformation through image manipulation - is still in its infancy).

Polaroid photos are perhaps harder to tamper with than digital media? Just a thought, not an expert myself.
