Hi all,
I need some help with avoiding browser fingerprinting. In the old days, when IP addresses were used for tracking, it was pretty easy to know when you've done enough to avoid being tracked; you used a VPN and cleared your browser data. However, it is impossible to avoid all browser fingerprinting. Of course metrics like OS used and browser used aren't enough to uniquely identify me. So, is it possible to know you've hidden enough to be confident that a website cannot track you?
For example, I have logged into to an account on website X using the default firefox browser. Is it possible to log into a different account on website X and be sure that X doesn't know I'm the same person (on that same device). If I use Brave browser with a VPN using a live OS/virtual machine will that website be able to match my activity to the earlier login on firefox? For this example I cannot use tor.
