First of all, I should just say that I am not involved in decision making for the project. I'm just sharing my thoughts.
AlanRyan for example I would like to not have Vanadium or the Camera app available on the new user.
Disabling the camera is blocked in the Settings app because the system camera is the only camera app that can handle certain intents. Also, not including the browser in new profiles, even if optional, may only confuse people when they need a browser.
The project sometimes needs to make decisions on what's best for everyone. It may not make sense for them to add this functionality if it only benefits a small number of people. It makes more sense for them to focus on bigger things that'll benefit more people.
AlanRyan The user should not be able to see what apps are installed on the Admin or other profiles, just the ones that are in that profile only.
Only the owner profile can see what apps are installed in other profiles. I can understand wanting to hide apps from the list even in the owner profile, but if someone has access to the owner profile, then they may be able to access everything anyway, so not much use in hiding anything.
