Battery life planning with sandboxed google play

I am looking either for commentary on anyone's experience with battery life on the P6P or profile planning/design for how to manage battery consumption while using sandboxed google play. I am not considering anything other than the pro version of the pixel 6, but the regular pixel 7 looks good enough I would go for that.

I had hoped to research this out a bit and see how the pixel 7 looked, buy my current phone is dying and it is going to force my hand to buy something sooner than I had planned.

I have been evaluating Graphene on a pixel 3a that I got off of swappa. I have found most of what I need I can do without google services and would be the normal mode of operation, however I would have instances where I would be using apps requiring google play for the entire day. I know my pixel 3a is a poor comparison, but installing sandboxed google play on it made it entirely unusable from a battery life perspective.

I am thinking my setup will be:

Owner profile - totally empty
'normal' profile - no google play, mainly used to check emails, light web browsing, spotify, here we go maps, texts, etc
work profile - google play, lots of outlook, teams calls, zendesk, moderate web browsing
social profile - google play, social apps like snapchat, festival and concert apps, event ticketing apps, sports stadium apps, video streaming apps. (I am considering using shelter to disable some of the apps while I am not using them, but I doubt this would actually do anything for battery)

I would never use more than the owner and one other profile at the same time. the normal profile I would use most of the time and have good confidence in battery life without sandboxed google play, but the work and social profiles would be the ones where it is most critical I be able to last 15+ hours with careful use. in the social profile, while at a festival or concert, I can turn battery saver on while I am not using it, but that naturally would not be viable while at work.

The pixel 6 pro already seems like it has problems with battery life, what has everyone's experience been with the P6P with sandboxed google play? could it make 4-5 hours screen on time and 15-16 hours without charging in a google play profile? Anything else that can be done to manage battery life without making the phone problematic to use?

I have a Pixel 6, and I have a similar setup.

There are too many variables when it comes to battery life. Most days I can use my phone all day. Wake up with 100%, go to sleep with 10-20%, and sleep 6-7 hours. I never have to worry about my phone's battery, and I doubt you would have to either.

If it turns out you need to squeeze more time out of your battery, don't use a VPN on your work profile if possible, turn off things you're not using like location or bluetooth, use the battery saver mode, lower your phone's brightness, lower your screen's refresh rate, don't use always on display, end work/personal profile sessions and only leave owner running when not in use.

yeah wouldn't use VPN. location or bluetooth with the work profile. At a concert or sports event I usually turn on battery saver and sometimes turn off mobile networking and anything else wireless as well until I need to use it.

Neither the work or social profiles will be possible to end session while in use - will need to be getting the emails, sip calls, calendar notifications etc.

Did you have the pixel 6 regular or pro? the regular has better battery life than the pro doesn't it?

You can have 3 profiles running at once I think and they can forward notifications to the active profile. Not sure if you knew that or if it's mentioned on the website.

I have the Pixel 6. Happy with the battery on it and it has never died on me. Not sure which phone has longer battery life.
