Bing API outage causing search engines to not function

Anyone noticed that as well that when you use Duckduckgo and Ecosia after latest Vanadium update, search delays and gives error? Other built in engines work okay. I have not changed anything in the settings. What may be causing this?

Same here. I've tried Vanadium and Vivaldi with StartPage, DuckDuckGo and Ecosia and none of them work.

this is not related to vanadium. currently bing is experiencing issues, which both ecosia and duckduckgo rely on.

nycto Yes that is plausible but StartPage doesn't work either and it uses Google's results and work on other devices

Search.brave.com works for me on Vanadium, if you want an alternative to google search.
I haven't had any luck using either Startpage or Duckduckgo (I've tried on both Vanadium or Brave browser)

Should the above be affecting Startpage, though? After this morning's GrapheneOS update I noticed Startpage wasn't returning results on ANY of the browsers I'm testing - Fennec, Mull, DuckDuckGo, Vanadium. But it's working fine on my desktops and laptops.
Currently DuckDuckGo and Startpage aren't returning results on ALL browsers in both my GOS phones.

I thought it was the GOS update that had caused it, ha! Thank goodness for these forums.

Mojeek and Brave Search work without problems :)

This is due to a Bing API outage, it has nothing to do with Vanadium.

Came across this issue as well this morning and figured it was a Bing issue after both DuckDuckGo and Bing would not return search results.

I also mistakenly thought at first that it was due to the Vanadium update. Google search worked, Startpage and DuckDuckGo were down (I didn't try Bing though). In the meantime both - Startpage and DuckDuckGo- are working again for me.
