I'm trying to connect to a corporate wifi network. There's no captive portal, authentication is by username / password. I don't know what authentication method should be used exactly, the one that comes up first is EAP/PEAP with MSCHAPV2. I don't know if that's just a default firt choice or if the method is detected from an authenticating server. Anyway I believe I tried all combinations. Tried "Use system certificates" and specified various domains related to the corporate network and tried "Trust on first use". I also tested an old iPhone. During connection, the iPhone gets a request to trust and install a certificate, after which connection is successful. I never got this request on the GOS phone. I can't find any link on the corporate systems to download the cert separately, and I couldn't find any way of exporting the cert from the iPhone when I checked.
Anyway is this expected? A configuration issue? Or do I have no other option but to obtain the cert out of band somehow and install it as a WiFi certificate?
I had connected to the same network on a GOS Pixel 6 Pro. I don't remember the details, if there was a cert, or what authentication method was used. (I still have the phone but the screen is burned out. Somehow two screens have died on that device. The second was a non-genuine aliexpress thing though.)
The phone I am trying on is a Pixel 8 Pro, GOS is up to date. I have wireguard running all the time (just to route traffic destined for the VPN itself) but tried disabling it just in case, no luck.
