kikiriki04 Hi!
Exploit protection compatibility mode does not have to be toggled on for the ABN Amro app.
It I understand your story correctly, the app was in fact successfully installed on your Pixel 7, otherwise you would not get to the option to set a transfer limit. But if you are forced to use the old e.dentifier (I hated that thing! 🙂 ) then perhaps you have not fully completed the process to activate the app on a new/second device? Or you accidentally chose authentication with the e.dentifier at some point?
What process did you follow to activate the app on the Pixel 7? It's been a while since I did this, but I am a 100% sure I have not used the e.dentifier thing for years. If I remember correctly, the process for me was something like this:
- install the app on the new phone;
- when prompted, choose to activate the app by using the app on your old/other device;
- follow the steps, if I remember correctly the app on your old device will show a qr-code which you have to scan with your new phone;
- some 2fa stuff will follow, I think there will be a code per sms and one per email;
- now you can finalize setting up the app on your new device. Make dure to choose the authentication methods you prefer (so not the one with the old e.dentifier, but a pincode for example).
My advice to you would be to start again. Remove the app from your Pixel 7, reboot just to be sure, and then install the app again. Read carefully, folluw the steps for activation precisely, make sure you chose the method involving your old device (not the one with the e.dentifier) and set-up the preferred authentication method (like a pincode).
