I’m currently using the GroupAlarm app on my Pixel 7 Pro. It is an app to alarm me if there is an alarm from my fire departement. Since I am away from home regularly I am using the GeoFence feature. But I keep encountering an issue where I receive the following error message: “Geofences cannot currently be used. Please enable high location accuracy under Settings > Location and enable Google Location Accuracy. Contact our support if you need further assistance.”
I’ve adjusted the settings as suggested, but the error message still persists. I reached out to GroupAlarm’s support and they mentioned that the app uses Core Headers for app security. They suggested that the data might not be able to be passed on correctly due to a proxy used by GrapheneOS causing the headers to be passed on incorrectly. This could prevent the request about the change of location from being communicated. They suggested trying to set exceptions for the proxy usage so that there can be direct communication with app.groupalarm.com and the header remains unchanged.
I’m not sure how to set this up and was wondering if anyone here has encountered a similar issue or has any suggestions on how to resolve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
