I am interested in new P8A and I would like to install GOS there. The problem is that only prerelease version is available for now. I read on Mastodon why.

So my question is: If I install prerelease can I update to usual release WITHOUT reinstalling the phone?
Is prerelease stable?

It's still marked as "(prerelease)" on the website. I think that means it's not yet considered stable, even though the release is in the "stable" channel.

As far as I know, yes.

Welcome! Yes you won't have to reinstall, stability should be good too. Since the 8a is still oddly based on Android 14 QPR1 (the May security patch is applied nonetheless) you won't get to enjoy the latest improvements we made just yet, probably until June.
