I just read this post, this is very upsetting. At least the only Proton app I use on my phone is Proton Authenticator, which does not require Google Play Services. My Email, Drive, etc, I check on my Linux Mint Laptop. I don't use my phone for much other than Calls/Messages/2FA. For those that do use Proton Apps on thueir phone, I can understand how upsetting and pissed off people are that use these apps on their phones.
