Anyone else experiencing new battery drain?

I have a Pixel 7. I think about four or five days ago I started noticing my phone was dying near the end of the day after very low usage. Today I checked Battery Usage, and none of the apps are very high, but under System, Mobile Network is over 70%.

I see many discussions about this on Reddit over the years on different Pixels with stock Android, but no clear solution. I know there was a software update for GrapheneOS today, but I don't remember any other updates about five days ago.

sillymoose I have noticed shorter battery life but I haven't investigated . pixel 6

sillymoose maybe you can try to Enable this :

Settings -> System -> Developer Option -> Suspend execution for cached apps.

Did your mobile carrier maybe switch to 5G? since it's known to use more battery than LTE

Maybe try turning it off for a few days? Perhaps the 5G tower near you is feeling ill.

de0u last night i tried setting it to LTE only, and i would lose mobile data after several minutes.

Also, someone at xda-developers was saying they had luck turning off "Automatically Select Network", though again, with that, I would lose connection after several minutes.

sillymoose Do you know anybody living near you who uses the same carrier who you could check to see if they are also seeing more battery drain?

Alternatively, can you try rebooting your phone? Have any new apps been installed, or updated?

de0u another person on my plan isn't experiencing it. Ive rebooted multiple times.

I actually got a new sim, but that didn't fix it.

I really don't want to file a warranty claim as that's a major headache, but i might have to.

I also had that issue a couple days ago. normally over night I loose around 3-5% battery then suddenly 20%

I did restart the phone one or two times, since then its back to normal. Its either the restart that helped or my phone had a bad connection where it was that night.

My mobile connection is really flaky in my house due to living in the country side and having stone walls.
