If you don't like the minimum priority notifications shown when a check for updates determines you're already up-to-date you can turn it off.
I want to reduce the frequency of the checking for updates. This wasn't explicitly clear in my post before, that's on me. I do want the notification every time a check is done.

Incorrect. I'm looking at the status bar right now, and it's got a small phone icon with an inscribed checkmark. Do you want a screenshot?

I am an embedded programmer, with some extra time, and some OS level AOSP experience. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to get started with GrapheneOS, so I can add the missing option?
Alternately, tell me why it won't be accepted.
