@charlieecho were you able to solve this? I have a similar issue with the app not doing anything when I enter a zip code and when I turn on automatically finding my location it just turns itself off after a few seconds. No map, nothing.
I was trying this option because we had a tornado come nearby and even though the sirens went off outside, my phone was completely silent because I was sleeping and it was set to Sleeping mode. So now I have to sleep with Sleeping mode OFF even though that means I get notifications while sleeping.
