ISP can see my phone model

Hi everyone,
I just checked my invoice and it looks like my ISP knows that I use a Pixel 8. I bought the device with cash and just put my ISP's regular physical SIM card in it. Could it be possible for them to get my IMEI by phoning home? Or something else I'm unaware of? I'm not really well-versed in cellular networks so I hope someone can explain how did they manage to get the phone model information.

They have your IMEI to register sim card with phone. The phone information (make and model etc) they will know that from your IMEI. There is also your IMSI (International mobile subscriber identity) and along with your IMEI uniquely identifies you on the network. Along with these they know your approximate location (within a few hundred metres approximately). If they didnt know that you wouldnt have a signal on your phone and it would just be a shiny brick. thats how it works. if you didnt know that it must be a shocker. once that sim is in they see it all. have to come to terms with that. can use a different carrier and fake info depending on where but that imei will always be in the system with isp and whoever they share it with.
