Hi, so I have a payment app that requires the phone permission to run. After setting up the app I went ahead and turned off the ‘Turn on phone calls & SMS’ toggle from the owner profile, for the profile running the payment app. Now the app is still working fine.
So, the above said toggle only restricts making phone calls and SMSs but grants full phone access to the apps just like the phone permission would allow if the said toggle was turned on??
Does turning off the phone call and sms toggle in any way help restrict any data to the apps (so I can enhance privacy) in the profile if the phone permission for all apps are turned off individually?
Also, is there ANY way/method/app with which I can trick the payment app to not be able to collect(or feed it wrong data etc.) my call logs, call history or other details while letting it have the phone permission ?
Lastly, if I allow the app phone permission to kind of link to my number(this is required for the app to work), then it asks me if I would like to send an sms via sim1 or sim2 to register on the app and if I select sim 1 then will the app be able to see the number for my sim 2 as well ? If yes is there any way to hide the phone no. Of sim2?
Thank you in advance for answering and helping out.
