Hello.
My pixel 7 is suffering a very interesting problem. It seems that the data port is broken. Suddenly the phone is not recognized anymore for data transfer or usb tethering. However, charging is still working.
Even in fastboot mode, the phone is not recognized anymore. Additionally, and that's another odd thing, I can only charge it with certain cables. It seems that if the cable has a data transfer capability (like the original cable that came with the phone) those cables can't even charge the phone. Only charging-only cables (who cannot transfer data) seem to work. I tried a bunch of cables and different computers so I can rule out a cable/usb port issue.
I am thinking about going back to stock to sent it in for repair. Now, the question is, how to get back to stock if data transfer doesn't work anymore?
Is there any way to flash without data connection?
Edit: Or is this connected to the new USB restriction feature which somehow completely disabled the data functionality of the USB port?
