Hi, recently google announced a big revamping of the android "find my device" feature that now is designed to work like apple with new upcoming "airtag for android" hardwares.
They also announced that the pixel 8 and 8 pro, thanks to their specific hardware, are capable to being tracked for a lot of hours even when powered off; the bluetooth BLE is active and is capable to locate the phone.
Also, I assume, even if you don't want to use this feature to find your device, your pawered-off phone still participate to the google tracking-network, being an active relay that permit to locate other devices.
How graphene os handle that feature? It is possible to disable this behaviour on the os-side or is something deeply nested in the firmware? Do you think this feature could be a threat to user privacy?
