Open source/privacy respecting office suite suggestions.

Collabora office is too outdated, it's way too complicated to use it. Anybody plz suggest me an office suite.

I'm looking for this as well. I've tried Collabora and Onlyoffice. Utter garbage, I'm sorry to say. There is Libreoffice Viewer with experimental editing mode, but that one is really experimental. 🙂

I would actually use Microsoft Word for weird processing if I didn't have to pay Microsoft. But of course it's not Foss.

I have been using OpenDocument Reader for quite a while and happy with it.

It is easier to try to change each application of the suite. For example using Typst for writing, SQL tools for Excel-like needs, etc.

I use OnlyOffice on Linux due to the great compatibility with Microsoft Office documents. So by extension I use the OnlyOffice Android app for viewing documents and making minor edits. It is a little bit slow, but I never do any serious document work from my phone, I do that on desktop. Your mileage may vary.

for the few times a year I need an office suit I use LibreOffice its open source and works okay. I dont know really about its compatibility with MS office documents, I just dont use office documents enough.

The nifty thing is LibreOffice has different UI config options such as classic Options menus with the symbols or the modern tiles etc.

I successfully run my law firm office suite needs through Libre. Has everything I need. There is an adjustment period, but easy enough to learn.
