Download/Reinstall default apps

Hi everyone,
First off, as this is my first post I wanted to thank you all for your efforts! GrapheneOS is amazing and using it I can feel the progress and work you're putting in. Great job :)
I installed uninstalled the default contacts app as I thought I'd switch to an alternative. I can't set up contacts storage scopes anymore and wanted to switch back to the default contacts app. I can't find a kink where to download it though and it isn't listed in the Apps installer either. How can I reinstall it? Can you help me out?

Noaja did you disable the system Contacts app?
If so, try looking in Settings > Apps > See all.
There will be a pill shaped drop down menu at the top that reads "All apps", if that is there, tap on it.

The option you should tap on is " Disabled apps"

I would imagine you'd have to reinstall Graphene (unless a factory reset is enough?).

I'm sure this is clear to you now but please don't mess around with system apps, especially don't uninstall them. They are often necessary for important functionality and changing/removing things risks causing serious issues.

I also suspect that you have deactivated the app. The solution has been described by pml ; the last step is probably a typo - you then have to tap on "enable".

Just as a brief addition to what has already been said: Uninstalling or deactivating AOSP apps or revoking their permissions can lead to problems - there are many posts here in the forum about this. In my opinion, the following posts are particularly helpful on this topic:

pml thanks so much guys! That was totally it. Luckily past me was wise enough not to uninstall but rather disable it. Phew! Thanks for the hint, definitely not gonna change permissions or disable graphene apps in the future

Noaja you can't uninstall system app in a regular way that is why the posts above suggested it was disabled and rightly so.

@pml Thanks a lot :) really enjoy Graphene and intend on sticking with it. So there may well be another question coming up haha
