Photo preview in google camera

Is there any work being done on implementing photos preview with google camera.
I don't want to use google photos app and unable to install Gcam-Services-Provider alongside google play services. I saw a developer has created an issue in their git for the same but looks like the dev don't have time to work on this. It will be nice if we could have this feature in the os or as a stub app in the graphene os apps store.

W1zardK1ng If you take photos or videos with Pixel/Google Camera, then the preview will show up in the preview circle thing.

Anyone who has sandboxed Google Play installed on their phones cannot install Gcam services provider because of package conflicts.

There is a small app that has been suggested by other community members in the past called GPhotosShim. I haven't tried it out, so I cannot personally vouch for it, but I hear the app redirects intents to open Google Photos with your default gallery app, or something like that. Maybe this is the functionality you're looking for?

other8026 thanks for sharing, it works as expected.
Looks like the app is not being maintained, but I can live with it since it not asking for any permissions other than the photo, and It works fine with storage scope.
Will graphene os team consider to push a app like this via the app store?

W1zardK1ng I don't think they would add it app to Apps. Right now, all the apps listed are either GrapheneOS apps or are special cases like Google Play or Android Auto. The only outlier, the Markup app, was added because many people were downloading it from sketchy websites and it's not available in Google Play.
