de0u Slightly off-topic, but I wish everybody would understand this. I've been trying to hammer this to the heads of my friends for years now, but they genuinely believe that LLMs "think", are capable of "reasoning" and that they are "less biased" than humans. Good grief. That's the power of full on marketing right there.

As for the AI generated text ban here at GOS forum, I think it's brilliant.

I agree, but don't trust it blind – it's a machine and not perfect!
Much better than Google Translate, but also not perfect!

Notice: Nowadays such translators are tools to help you a little bit, but not for making the complete translation work for you.
Translating tools are only useful if you know the grammar and spelling rules, because only then you can recognise incorrect translations made by the machine.

Use DeepL's translation as a suggestion and only accept it if it is error-free (don't trust them!).
This can save time if you want to translate a long text from your native language.
