Serial number visible in Windows

Hello all,
I have noticed that when connecting Graphene OS to Windows via USB, even in charge-only mode, and even on a computer where the file transfer was never allowed to, the serial number of the phone is perfectly visible in the properties of the device appearing in Windows.
I don't know to what extent this number is dangerous if made public, but that doesn't sound right to me.

Sayasam GrapheneOS provides a USB attack surface reduction feature available in Settings > Security > USB-C port which you can set to Charging-only instead of having data enabled. You're using the standard Android menu for choosing which type of USB peripheral the device will act as, not whether USB data is enabled. Someone with physical access to the device will always be able to get the serial number since it's accessible outside the OS. It's not accessible to apps within the OS.
