I want to try a small hardware keyboard for my 7 Pro. My hope is to make termux
and emacs
a bit more usable on the go and get some more work done that I now leave for home.
I've never used one so I'm not sure how useful it is. I will get an inexpensive one to try it first.
Have you found this useful? Is it a big drain on battery?
Do Ctrl, Alt and Shift work?
Any models you'd recommend?
I'm also considering some type of netbook if it's not too expensive. I'm ok trading pocketability for a bit bigger display and its own battery but I don't want something bulky or fragile that needs its own peripherals and case.
I want something self-contained I can just drop in my bag and charge with USB-C phone chargers so I'm minimally constrained and can pull out and use with the least friction. I'm not sure whether its worth having its own data modem or simply use the Pixel as a hotspot when necessary.
I'd go for one that can run Linux or BSD since Android is too limited to be useful.
I have a 12.5" laptop that I quite like but it's bulky and heavy and needs a big laptop transformer, that's what I'm hoping to avoid.
