TheCrow The goal is to use the Pixel as a computer with video output and power delivery to charge it.
yoshamano I just tried out the Dell D6000 again. Display and audio work. Ethernet does not. From what i can tell, Google never added DisplayLink's Ethernet adapter to Android.
TheCrow Would it be possible to plug the other cheap non-DP USB dock with RJ45 etc. into e.g. Dell D6000 to make the RJ45 work through the other hub?
user2025 Hello, Sorry to bump up an older thread.. Is the issue present with the latest hardware as well, as i am looking at a Pixel 9 or 10, Pro XL. I would like to use it as a Samsunf DEX type setup, connected to an external monitor, keyboard, mouse. Thanks.
de0u user2025 Pixel 8 devices and newer have hardware support for DisplayPort Alt Mode, but so far Google has not shipped a product-quality desktop implementation to AOSP (I'm not sure what the status is in Google's Pixel OS). In time they may! Meanwhile, at present GrapheneOS does not run on Pixel 10 devices. In time it may well!
user2025 de0u i have the 9 using some version of desktop...good enough to keep me going. Need to test bluetooth or wired keyboard and mouse for a full experience.
