865be553dc4f5b2b To conserve battery I would like to be able to switch one SIM's radio off during the off hours. Is it possible to do using some kind of an application? Is it possible to independently control cell radios at all on stock Graphene OS?
[deleted] 865be553dc4f5b2b I and others wanted to do this too. See: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/10752-auto-turn-on-airplane-mode-when-within-mile-radius-of-identifiable-locations Many options exhausted. I think this may be popular enough to make a good feature request on the Graphene OS repository. 865be553dc4f5b2b Apparently tasker requires Google Play Services and someone recommended another app called "PhoneProfilesPlus" but I don't feel comfortable downloading it as I don't see it on F-Droid and haven't heard anyone speak of it. I also don't know if it requires Google Play Services or a rooted device.
865be553dc4f5b2b gonzalo Does that work without issues and any unsupported configuration such as rooting or ADB access?
de0u gonzalo Is it clear that each SIM has a separate radio? I would be surprised. Or are you using Tasker to enable and disable individual SIMs?
865be553dc4f5b2b [deleted] PhoneProfilePlus seems to require ADB in one form or another to work. So that probably means no application by default can control radios on Android, and if so I guess that's unlikely to change in Graphene OS as well. But I don't recall being able to even manually turn a single radio off (in a similar way to how you would for example "Force stop" an app). Tasker seems to require root as well. @gonzalo do you have a rooted device or is there another method?
[deleted] 865be553dc4f5b2b Yeah, I don't believe there's any solution. Like I said I think we have a good case for a decent feature request on the GOS Github repository due to the amount of traction I've seen on this forum regarding automation capability of device radios (mainly cell/airplane mode) with parameters such as time and location, unfortunately I don't have a Github account nor plan on making one.
gonzalo Just to be more clean maybe I misunderstood, with Tasker in some hour range I set my phone on plane mode and then just enable the WiFi at home, I don't play around with the SIM itself, sorry if it wasn't the question
