Magic Earth with Android Auto

Hello,

When connected to Android Auto, Magic earth displays "No new messages during this drive". How do I fix this and display the map?

n2gwtl I have the same issue cause I didn't download it from the play store directly, rather from Aurora.

I'm looking for a solution too.

n2gwtl Magic Earth FAQs - Install Magic Earth from Google play. APKs from other sources may not work with Android Auto. (CarPlay & Android Auto is towards the bottom of their FAQ page).

I'm not sure, but I'm going to guess that this has something to do with Google services and Android Auto.

I have found Magic Earth support to be very responsive. You may want to try and contact them via email. That is what I did to get their APK direct from them and not have to download it from a store. But again, you may still have to download it from the Google Play Store for it to work with Android Auto.

I also downloaded it from the Aurora store. I tried using organic maps, but it does not show up on android auto. I would like to be able to use a map on android auto.

commodore64 thanks for the response. I also contacted their support directly, and they were very helpful. I downloaded the app directly from their website after they gave me a password to download it from a specific link. But it still doesn't work with Android Auto.

commodore64 installing from google play worked for me. I thought Aurora was a front end for Google play so it should not make a difference.

RRZishe Just some thoughts...Did Magic Earth give you any direction regarding Android Auto not working for you? Did you uninstall Magic Earth and then download it from the Google Play Store as indicated in their FAQ?

commodore64 they were very nice and helpful and gave me a link and password to download the APK, but it still didn't work.

At least the installation source is different. And the app, and probably other apps can see this.
You can see it too. Check Setting | Apps | <app_name> | App Details

n2gwtl I'm glad that worked out for you n2gwtl. Magic Earth makes it pretty clear that is the required process for Android Auto. There are definitely differences between Aurora and Google Play.
