keenap Hi, I am using the app "PhoneTrack" from F-Droid. Then I activated the option to only track and send data, when significant motion is detected. But then the app is not working fine. A lot location points are missing. Then I deactivated this setting and it worked fine. On my Pixel 5 with GOS it worked with this option enabled without any problem. But now since 2 weeks with my Pixel 8 its not working anymore. Maybe I need to allow some new special permissions so that PhoneTrack can use "TYPE_SIGNIFICANT_MOTION"? Or is it not possible to use this feature anymore on GOS?
keenap I think I should open a Github issue, because this website here is inactive? Its a really important feature for the location service, so I think it should be fixed...
other8026 keenap It's a big update to Android 14 in which there were many changes. Another person posted about this issue recently: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/11635-recent-update-phonetrack-background-location-sending-broken Also, there's already an issue opened in PhoneTrack's issue tracker here: https://gitlab.com/eneiluj/phonetrack-android/-/issues/278 I'd suggest checking the issue tracker from time to time to see if there've been any updates on what's causing this problem.
