I recently installed Android Auto, all of the following describe the main profile on my phone.
Setttings > Apps > Google Play Services > App permissions - Network permission enabled
Setttings > Apps > Android Auto > App permissions - Network & Notification permissions enabled
Question 1: I am able to disable all of the notification toggles under 'Other', however when I disable "All Android Auto notifications" then exit the notifications screen I always find it re-enabled. Why is this toggle compulsory and specifically what notifications occur with only this enabled?
Question 2: There is another toggle 'Alerts' if this is enabled specifically what notifications will occur that wouldn't if this is disabled?

Given Android Auto is a Google app I want to limit it's access to everything as much as possible.
Essentially all I'm looking to do with Android Auto is play music (with apple music or spotify) play audioboks and use the navigation apps (such as Waze). I don't want Android Auto to to have access to my call logs, contacts, SMS messages or any chat apps that I use.
However, when using android auto on my car head-unit I can see whatsapp, signal and telegram displayed. On opening the apps I see the following

It doesn't display any of the chat history from these applications and when I tap on the blue 'new message' icon in the bottom right of whatsapp nothing happens. In addition I have tested and found none of the chat apps receive messages.
In Settings > Apps > Sandboxed Google Play > Android Auto > Notification access settings I have the following settings.

Question 3: Can I conclude that non of my chat-app chatlogs or notifications will be exposed to via Android Auto, or have I missed something?
