Great OS, and thank you to everyone who made it possible! I'm trying to make a backup for the first time, and it doesn't seem to be working. I suspect I either set things up wrong (is that not a supported file format for the USB drive?), I just need to wait longer (is it formatting or initializing the drive?), or there's a bug in the backup software. Couldn't find anything on this forum.
Steps to reproduce:
- format 128GB USB-A thumb drive to exFAT
- connect to GrapheneOS Pixel 7 Pro using USB-A to USB-C converter than came with the phone
- run backup from from inside settings
Expected result:
- backups show progress when I tap on "Backup status"?
Actual result:
- Just below "Backup status", it displays "last backup: 9 minutes ago"
- USB thumb drive's activity light is flashing quickly the entire time
- tapping on "Backup status" lists System apps and Installed apps, but the status on each one is "Waiting to back up..." with the yellow caution sign to the right, and nothing has changed since the backup was kicked off
