Has anyone noticed some real crappy behavior on Pixel 7Pro on T-Mobile that may be related to how the device goes back and forth from LTE to 5G?
When I have it set to "5G", the internet connection seems really bad, almost unusable, sporadic, sometimes with the exclamation mark in the signal strength (with good signal strength with either 5G or LTE) indicating that it hasn't lashed up to the internet properly. Phone calls seem to fail without going through, etc. This behavior happens as I see the signal meter go in and out of 5G, 5G+, and LTE during the normal course of the day outside of WiFi connectivity.
Switch to LTE Only and restart/cycle the SIM and all the queued up internet activity, notifications, etc flood back into the phone and it seems to access the internet normally. Phone calls in and out seem to work again,
Also I have noticed that the phone randomly does not seem to handle the MMI codes consistently ... like **21*<Phone Number> # to forward the phone. or ##21# to end call forwarding .... they often come back with errors.
For reference, my stock OnePlus 11 on TMo never exhibited any of this on the same SIM
Is this a 7Pro thing? A T-Mobile thing? A Graphene/radio firmware thing? Any insights?
Wondering if I should get a new SIM card from the the provider. Anyone have any ideas? Thoughts appreciated.
