kaisernatron What are you worried about security-wise? I only keep adb on when i am actively working on my apps, and only allow connection to Studio. I think it is a pretty minor and temporary attack surface opening that I safely can manage on my own.
My Lenovo is also not able to emulate anymore, but it works fine otherwise. Would rather wait a little longer to buy a new laptop when this is the only trouble it has.
