Reset adaptive brightness

Am I able to reset adaptive brightness to the factory defaults on GrapheneOS?

Maybe it's odd but I like to keep the factory defaults when it comes to adaptive brightness.

On One UI 5.1 I am able to clear the data of the app BrightnessBNR to clear what adaptive brightness has learned.

Colt9646 I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking how to reset so it's like the Pixel Stock OS? If so, AOSP and GrapheneOS don't use the same algorithm as the Pixel Stock OS.

I've given it a read and I believe what I am trying to do is restore the default curve as I want to put the adaptive brightness back to what it would be without any user adjustments. Do you know of any way I can do this directly in GrapheneOS or possible using ADB?

Colt9646 as far as I know all of that is hard coded and can't be changed. It's been a while since I looked at all of that. Maybe something has changed, so maybe some settings can be set now via ADB, but I'm not aware of any.

I did some testing today and found that adaptive brightness saves custom adjustments to the screen_auto_brightness_adj key under the system namespace. I also found that the value of the key does not persist reboots, meaning adaptive brightness is reset when you reboot the phone.

I now know I can simply restart my phone to restore the adaptive brightness to "factory defaults".

If the adjustment is ever made persistent I would hope an option to reset it is added, however I am content with the current implementation.
