Photos Ending up in my google photos

Pics taken on my grapheme is are moving to google photos somehow. I don't think I uploaded them or transfered them to google drive.
If my google photos app is open can it somehow access my graphene camera photos?

It depends on the permissions you've granted to Google Photos. If you don't want Google Photos to have access to all of your photos, you can use Storage Scopes. If you don't want Google Photos to have access to all photos, make sure the "photos and videos" permission is denied.

Don't know if Google Drive does that automatically or not. If it does, you'd want to review Google Drive's permissions as well.

Google Drive has the option to automatically back up photos (see "turn backup on or off"). Not sure if this is on by default, but I'm guessing that's the reason either way.

You can also check whether the automatic backup is activated in Google Photos itself.

Click on your account name at the top right of the app. The 2nd menu item shows the current status (Backup is on/ Backup is off). You can also deactivate the automatic backup in the same menu item.
