Hi,
yes, Aegis is IMO the best app for 2FA on Android.
All works local, all will be automatically stored after every change, if you make the according settings.
I have done this like [deleted] has written.
And for automatically backup in first place I have setup the backup directory not to the external sd card plugged in my USB card reader, because for fast every time backup it is easier to let it store instantly internally and copy all these backup files from several apps later, when you have enough time for plug-in the USB card reader and copy all backup files as external backup, e.g. every Friday and on the same day after really big changes or very, very important new data.
And because of the backup rule to have a backup every time on more than one place, I use my secure e-mail tuta.com to send myself such important encrypted backup files end-to-end-encrypted and store them in special named backup folders.
I need the Aegis app on every profile I use, because I use 2FA for all credentials, where it is possible.
I now only use the owner profile, but I can't imagine having a profile or a smartphone in general without a 2FA app.
