Isishfbfn I am looking at buying a new pixel 6 to install GraphenOS on. I saw that Best Buy currently has a discount on the unlocked version of the Pixel 6 if you activate the phone with a carrier when you buy it. I was wondering if I would still be able to install GrapheneOS on it or if the carrier could lock it down.
Fhggyy5767 Isishfbfn Yes! If it's unlocked and say you choose T-Mobile to be your carrier then you can flash it with GOS and have a GOS phone on T-Mobile. Stear clear of Verizon to make sure it's unlocked
Blastoidea I’m not sure Best Buy can get away with that. I challenged them on t it and they quickly changed their story to Activate Now was just “another option”. (At the same price) Maybe it’s a CT thing.
James9x19 You're simply activating the phone on Verizon. Doesn't change their fact that it's unlocked. It's sold as unlocked and it'll stay unlocked. I've purchased 7 pixels from best buy, all worked just fine on graphene.
