I've been running GOS on my pixel 5 for a couple years and now that you can find 7 & 8 Pros in the $600-700 range, just wanted to see if there's a big sentiment for one vs the other.

If you can afford it, Pixel 8 is recommended for 7 years of support and memory tagging.

router99 You can replace the battery with official google one. They sell it on ifixit.
Batteries are cheaper than a new phone.
