s0mething0r0ther Hello and welcome.
s0mething0r0ther from a general security perspective, should I just stay using iOS until getting Graphene on the Pixel 8 or am I taking on any significant risks as an average user if I use the Pixel 5 until getting the 8?
It depends on the version of iOS and it depends on what you're doing with the Pixel 5. If you're on a recent version of iOS, I'd advise you to stick with it for now, maybe unless your Pixel 5 use is considerably limited.
s0mething0r0ther approach, I am aiming to get a standalone GPS for navigation. Wondering if this community has any current suggestions on this front that I could look into that you use, or may have used
I swing between Osmand + and sandboxed Google Maps, Osmand + stopped working randomly a few times while I was on the road, but I'll be able to give it another go.
s0mething0r0ther that the donations will be used to support the entire development team/project and not just a single individual.
Don't worry about the Github Sponsor page that exists under Daniel Micay's name to get around a commission story imposed by Github, use the method that suits you best, donations will go to the whole GrapheneOS team regardless of the donation method.
