I have the media player pinned, and I can see it from the pull-down quick settings, but the play/pause button doesn't seem to function.
Specifically using this with AntennaPod app.

cyberpunkedu I sometimes have this problem with Spotify. As weird as it sounds, it seemed to be the update reboot prompt in the pulldown menu messing it up. Basically after that prompt to "reboot device" to update the os appears I lose play/pause functionality in that pull down menu until I reboot the device. Do you have that prompt?
cyberpunkedu This is an issue which is not specific to GrapheneOS. It may not be specific to AntennaPod either.
Here's the AntennaPod relevant issue: https://github.com/AntennaPod/AntennaPod/issues/6576
Roger Oh, yes, you're right. That's a similar issue that I have. Even when I have the "Device is up-to-date" notification then the media control doesn't work. But once those are gone, then media control works again.
treequell Thanks for linking that issue. For me, it isn't from the lock screen per se, but that is also an issue that I experience.
