Best for privacy: GMaps vs Organic Maps + GTTS

Hello,
I rarely use GMaps, and I'm thinking about switching to Organic Maps. The problem is that there is no free TTS tool that includes Spanish, or I can't find one, so the alternative would be to use GTTS, and I wonder if using GTTS will be just as bad in terms of privacy problems as using GMaps.

cdflasdkesalkjfkdfkjsdajfd Another alternative is to use gmaps in a secondary profile, or in a work profile inside the main profile in case you use this application a lot (this is my case).

Another option is to use GmapsVW in the main profile, although it cannot be used as a gps navigator, it is very useful to consult establishments.

ifman13 Yes, I use GMapsWV at main profile only for search sites but with Location Disabled (I never enable Location at main profile) and GMaps app at a secondary profile with GSF installed but without any G account set, but I like to use OrganicMaps instead of GMaps due to GMaps is tracking you when using, but not sure if GTTS also do it...

Check out Magic earth to use instead of Google maps when you need that type of app. It’s not open source, but it’s better than any google option in my opinion.

cdflasdkesalkjfkdfkjsdajfd Organic maps is great, but it doesn’t offer live traffic or a google/apple maps type of ‘smoothness’. magic earth does. I use Organic maps for walking and exploring and ME for driving

I tried Organic Maps for a while but the search wasn't reliable at all for me. I found OSMAnd+ 's search was better. I only use GMaps to look something up if the search fails. I open it in incognito to force a clear of site data when done.

Have you tried OSMAnd+? (Just curious)

NowhereFast I have begun using Osmand~ to replace Strava & Gaia for outdoor activities like hiking and running.

It looks like it would be tremendous for driving/navigation because of the customizations, but that is also what .makes it overwhelming, too many options.

I also haven't found it to be useful when searching for specific addresses in the US. City to city is fine but searching for anything smaller hasn't been easy for me.

Hombre I have begun using Osmand~ to replace Strava & Gaia for outdoor activities like hiking and running.

Can you set that up so it keeps your tracks etc? Does it give you statistics? I fins the app so frustrating to use I never delved to deeply into the potential for running, but if its good for that then maybe I will reconsider..
