New to Graphene, but I used to be addicted to nightly CyanogenMods and LineageOS updates. I noticed something today that rattled me a little bit ... I saw that my Play Store had been logged in to my google account and I had a notification that there were some app updates to download from the play store (namely, ProtonMail, and ProtonVPN).
I am quite sure I never entered any google credentials into this device since I put Graphene OS on it. I was trying to run as google-free a phone as possible so I wouldn't have done that unless I was drunk and don't remember.
Question - is there ANY way at all that somehow my google account could have been logged into without me manually doing it? My password manager doesn't even show google as a recent when I look at it to see what accounts I have looked up and pasted from the password manager. Bizarre.
Also, I had been running Android Auto (Wireless) in my car. Worked well, EXCEPT none of the other Android Auto apps that are Auto-capable showed up. Only Waze but Pandora, Podcast app, etc. did not show up. Later I downloaded Google Maps from Aurora. I noticed it DID show up on my car screen as an available app. So then the next time I drove the car, all apps on the phone that are AA capable showed up on AA when in the car. Later, I discovered that Google Play Store was logged in on my devices (as described above) so I signed out of google on the Play Store and then I noticed that most of the AA aps were no longer available on my car screen.
Like I said I used to do Cyanogen and Lineage nightlies, so I was used to odd behaviors ... but does anyone have any insight on this? Do I have to be signed in to a google account for apps to be properly available in my car when AA is connected.
Really appreciate the team for the work on this OS. Superlative.
