Hello,
I've been testing Mega.io and Filen.io lately and have both apps installed on my GOS 7a.
Filen released this update, which contains this change:
Through file provider integration, you can now access your cloud files and folders directly from your standard "files" app (name may vary) on your smartphone.
And indeed, using the default files app I can now access my filen vault without using the filen app.
I'm wondering if this poses some kind of fundamental security risk (leaving aside all known reservations re using such providers and their apps in the first place) or if this is just the same as using said app?
I'm actually somewhat surprised that this works just like that, especially because the Filen app on my phone doesn't have any files-related permissions, only notifications, network (and sensors).
I was also surprised that only Filen's app does this, Mega doesn't seem to feature this kind of integration, nor did any other cloud service I've tried in the past.
