depscribe Google has announced that it will include the (reprehensible) Gemini in "everything."
If Google can include Gemini in iOS, Linux, FreeBSD, etc., that will be a good trick! Presumably the EU's anti-trust people will get excited.
I suspect it's a marketing claim rather than a contract.
depscribe What are Graphene's plans to deal with this?
I suspect it will depend on what "this" is (which I believe is not known).
- If "this" is "Google makes bold general marketing statements", the GrapheneOS project might do nothing
- If "this" is "Google adds Gemini to the stock Pixel OS", again "do nothing" might work fine
- If "this" is "Google adds Gemini to AOSP", presumably "revert those commits" would likely work
- If "this" is "Google adds Gemini to Samsung modem baseband firmware", that might require some planning...?
I am guessing "this" will turn out to be something near the top of my speculative list, in which case my guess is that the GrapheneOS project is likely to do nothing.
Please note that I do not speak for the GrapheneOS project.
