If you view the weather in your browser, you can select "Add to home screen" from the menu and a shortcut to that page will be added to the home screen. You can then move that shortcut onto any page or into any folder you choose on your phone for later viewing...unless of course you absolutely need a widget. You'd then need the app.

Jobloggs widget or alerts, permanent notifications, a bunch of things could be potentially desirable. Breezy fan here.

It appears eirik has already answered your question, but I just wanted to share a couple links to GitHub issue pages in case anyone else gets a "request weather data failed" error with geometric weather and searches this forum, especially since geometric weather was used by sideofburritos in a grapheneos obtanium tutorial video and will probably be among the first apps installed by many people.

In short it appears Geometric weather is no longer maintained, and it has been removed from the playstore. But luckily someone has forked it to create Breezy weather, which has been working great for me.

Thank you very much for the info. Using Breezy now also. The only thing I cannot seem to find on a Breezy widget (that Geometric had) is a code for the Subtitle data in widget settings. I like to have the day of the week and month on there ie Tuesday, Feb. 27 etc. I may be missing something but I don't see it under "custom" . I can enter $d$ but that just gives me Feb 27 and not the day of the week. A trifling matter probably to almost everyone except me.

brookie229 you can pair any of your weather widgets with built-in clock widget and throw in alarm for good measure. Result is the same, that's how I use it with Prognoza atm, looks good.

brookie229 digital clock widget has time, shortened day name, date and alarm if set. Don't choose analogue.

tango correct. I keep all bookmarks on home screen despite websites having their corresponding apps
