I'm wondering if the location permission is really necessary on the Pixel Tablet.
I've tried enabling Location on the Pixel Tablet when using Organic Maps, but the app never seems to find my location.
I know that the Pixel Tablet lacks NFC (since this makes sense: smartphones are built with cellular connectivity, which means contactless payment methods via NFC is justified; however, Wi-Fi only tablets don't have NFC because IRL they wouldn't be used for contactless payment).
By that same line of thinking, I think Pixel Tablet lacks any sort of GPS connectivity, unlike the rest of the Pixel smartphones. If that's true, when why isn't the Location permission excluded from GrapheneOS builds for Pixel Tablet?
(If there were to be cellular-capable Pixel Tablets in the future, then they might have GPS capabilities; but I doubt anyone would want to use a tablet for contactless payment.)
