During my day I use VLC and NewPipe to listen to youtube videos and sound files like podcasts and lectures that often are several hours long. Many times I have to pause for a while and every time the state is list. This starts to be very annoying now and there must be a solution. Is it GrapheneOS or the apps? I remember on my old de-googled normie phone VLC could remember state for weeks by suddenly resuming a song in the middlewhen I connected it to my car bluetooth and it sent the "play/pause" signal over Bluetooth.
With VLC nowadays on my P6P with GOS i can hardly pause for 5-10 minutes and when I take fown the top notification area the VLC card is... gone. Blast. Then I have to sneak peek into the "running apps" and look at the elapsed timer in the miniature view before I switch apps, because as soon as the app switches, the state is gone.
Does anybody elsenoticed this or has some fix for this issue? It's super annoying to have to manually remember the elapsed state every time I want to pause for longer than 5 minutes. Is it hardened malloc setting a timer for memory allocation? Just guessing. I tried disabling battery optimisation and giving all notifications permissions.
